  • Photographs of Phelwana were taken during our high rainfall period. Our dam levels and views change depending on the frequency of rainfall. Due to climate change, our game can fluctuate.

Location Map

Directions from Johannesburg or Pretoria

  • Take the N4 towards Mbombela
  • Turn off at Belfast on the R540 to Lydenburg
  • Follow the sign to Ohrigstad and towards Hoedspruit
  • Turn right on the R531 to Klaserie/Orpen Gate and continue for approximately 30km
  • Continue from the R531 onto the R40 for 2 kilometres (The R531 becomes the R40)
  • Turn left onto the Orpen road for 2 kilometres and look for the signs to Phelwana Game Lodge on the left
  • Turn Left into the Guernsey Road and drive for approximately 8km. Phelwana Game Lodge will be on your right
